Tacto, a small German AI supply chain startup, is set to raise new funding from US giant Sequoia and is already in talks with a different high-profile investor to raise another round. Sequoia is set to lead Tacto's Series A round, six sources familiar with the deal told Insider. Unusually, the startup has already begun talks to raise another round of funding in addition to the Sequoia deal. Tacto is also in talks with London-based Index Ventures to immediately raise another funding round, five sources said. Andreessen Horowitz led a seed round in tiny AI startup ElevenLabs in March, and is also in talks with months-old company Mistral.

Generative-AI startup Aleph Alpha is in talks with investors over a new funding round, sources said. Aleph Alpha, a German generative AI startup, is in talks with investors over a new funding round, Insider has learned. Founded in 2019 by CEO Jonas Andrulis, a former machine-learning engineer at Apple, and Samuel Weinbach, Aleph Alpha researches and develops AI systems with a focus on enterprise customers. Aleph Alpha declined to comment. Aleph Alpha has a chatbot called Lumi which is built on top of its language-learning model Luminous.
It recently raised 6.5 million euros in a second seed round. Insider has an exclusive copy of the pitch deck it used to raise the funds. The founders launched the software in August 2021, quickly raising 3.5 million euros, or around $3.42 million, in a seed round. The company has just increased their total funding to 10 million euros, which is around $9.77 million, through a second seed round of 6.5 million euros, or around $6.35 million.
